Green Energy Program

In 2022, Youth WINS, along with six other organizations, secured a pivotal grant from NYSERDA as part of the Queens & Staten Island Clean Energy Hub initiative. This work in collaboration with the Clean Energy Hub further serves our coalition’s commitment to building a more robust workforce through creating opportunities in the clean energy economy for historically marginalized and underserved young adults on Staten Island.

Our mission is to ensure Staten Island’s young adults are connected to career pathways within the green energy industry. Our intention is to build relationships with employers, organizations, and individuals who are able to provide clear guidance to those seeking gainful employment through paid trainings and programs. As a part of this process, we continue to engage youth in skill-building workshops, job training, and events that foster relationships with employers.

Youth WINS takes a holistic approach in serving young adults across Staten Island. From community-centered events to hands-on training, we strive for the workforce of the future to feel grounded and empowered by the foundation we have set for them.
